ROOP, Phillip Frank, 83 of Salem, died Saturday, June 25, 2005 at Lewis Gale Medical Center.
Born in West Virginia he is survived by his loving companion; Maude Moore of Salem, his children; Diane Helvey and her husband; Ricky, of Shawsville, Cecil Roop of Christiansburg, and Billy Roop, sister and brother-in-law; Eileen and Roy Mitchem, of West Virginia, nine grandchildren, several great grandchildren, step children and step great grandchildren. Several nieces, nephews, and special friends also survive him. Mr. Roop will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
Friends may call anytime after 12 noon Sunday, June 26, 2005 at The Horne Funeral Home, Christiansburg where the family will receive friends from 2 - 4 p.m. Sunday.
The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. in The Horne Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Wallace Yopp and Rev. Gary Butcher officiating. Interment will follow in Belmont Cemetery.
