Phillip Sutphin

SUTPHIN, Phillip Stanley, 53 of McCoy died Friday, February 15, 2008. Phillip was known by his family and friends as “FLIP”, and “PHIL” to all his good friends in Roanoke. He was a Master Electrician and he had a marvelous sense of humor. “He couldn’t have been a better brother”.

Mr. Sutphin was preceded in death by his parents; Joseph Cleveland Sutphin, and Shelby Richardson, and one brother; Clarence Lee Sutphin.

He is survived by his brothers and sister-in-law; Joseph and Juanita Sutphin of McCoy, VA, Fletcher Richardson of Roanoke, VA, and Timothy Sutphin of Maryland. Mr. Sutphin is also survived by his sisters; Flora Jane Ratcliff of Riner, Ron and Gwen Farringer of Lynchburg, VA, Deanna Doss of Roanoke, VA, his wife; Mary Sutphin of Blacksburg, VA, and his children; Olivia Bradbury of Hardy, VA, Summer Deanna Sutphin, Edward Raymond Sutphin and Joseph Phillip Sutphin all of Goodview, VA.

A memorial service will be held at The Samaritan Inn, Salem Ave., Roanoke, Va, 2 p.m., Wednesday, February 20, 2008 with Wayne Meadows officiating.
