R. H. 'Buddy' Walton Jr.

R. H. ‘Buddy’ Walton, Jr., 95, of Christiansburg, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 26, 2017. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Henry Walton Sr. and Mildred Moses Walton.

Buddy is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Velma Wirt Walton; children, Bob Walton and wife Emilie, Karen Cunningham and husband Buddy; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; siblings, Sam Walton and wife Martha, and Millie Ramsey; as well as many other friends and family.

Buddy was a deacon emeritus at Cambria Baptist Church where he also taught Sunday School class for many, many years.

The family will receive friends Friday, April 27, 2018, from 5-7 p.m. at Horne Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, April 28, 2018, at 2 p.m. at Cambria Baptist Church, with Rev. Keith Crowgey officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Cemetery, Christiansburg.
