Rachel Wimmer

WIMMER, Rachel Angle, 89 of Christiansburg died Saturday, November 6, 2010 at her home. She was a long time member of the First Church of God on Cannan Road, Christiansburg and worked for Angle Florist in Christiansburg for twenty five years.

The daughter to the late Earnest J. and Eva Angle she was also preceded in death by her husband; Lamer Wimmer, brothers; Paul and William Jack Angle, and sister; Lorene Wiseman.

She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law; Junior and Dorothy Angle of Hampton, VA, two sons and daughters-in-law; Don and Faye Martin; Christiansburg, Eddie and Carol Wimmer of Shawsville; seven grandchildren; Tim, Kecia Wimmer, Fort Chiswell, Chris and Emily Wimmer, Christiansburg, Steve and Dottie Frazier, Christiansburg, Rita and Ramsey Makhoul, Rhonda and Albert Mah, Robin and Dale Brooks, Randy and Neise Counts, twelve great grandchildren; Brice, Blake, Bryant, Georgia Rai, Maxwell, Donnie, Spencer, Kandice, Amanda, CJ, Andrew, Stephen, Kristin, Austin and Helen, also one great great grandchild; Brennan White.

Friends may call anytime after 12 noon at the Horne Funeral Home Monday, November 8, 2010 where the family will receive friends from 5 – 8 p.m. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, November 9, 2010 at the First Church of God on Cannan Road, Christiansburg. Interment will follow in Huffville Cemetery, Floyd County.
