Ralph Vencil Wells, Sr., age 86, of Pulaski, VA, went to be with the Lord whom he faithfully served on Wednesday, April 23, 2014, at his home.
He was a retired Pastor of 44 years with the Church of God of Prophecy. He was born July 4, 1927, to the late Ambrose Compton Wells and Julia Ann Falin Wells in Norton, VA. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Robert ”Bob” Wells, Abe H. Wells, and David P. “Rabbit” Wells; and two sisters, Gladys Maples and Ruth Smith.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife and faithful partner of 64 years, Lorene Rose Wells, of Pulaski; son and daughter-in-law, Ralph V. Wells, Jr. and wife, Susie of Coeburn, VA; daughter and special caretaker, and son-in-law, Debbie W. Warren and husband, Tom of Stuart, VA, granddaughter, Andrea W. Rupe and her husband, Jay Rupe; one great-grandson, Carter Rupe all of Pulaski, VA; his precious feline friend, Cocoa; loving friend and caregiver, Janet Mitchell and her husband, Keith of Pulaski, VA; dear niece, Jean Wells of Norton, VA; three sisters-in-law, Juanita Wells, Theda Rose, and Peggy Rose; Papa’s Girls, Martha Moore and Faye Snow; special neighbors, the Leonard family; dear friends, Wilma Campbell, Garnett and Alma Byrd, Jackie Ellison, and Ken Mitchell; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 26, 2014 from 10:00 am until noon at Horne Funeral Home, Christiansburg, VA. A Celebration of Life will follow with Pastor Tom Warren officiating. Entombment will follow in Highland Memory Gardens in Dublin, VA.
