Randall Louis Sherman

October 22, 1957 — October 12, 2020

Randall Louis Sherman, 62, of Christiansburg, VA went to be with the Lord on the morning of October 12, 2020. Randy was born and raised in Christiansburg by Ed and Ann Sherman and graduated from Virginia Tech in 1980, a member of Sigma Chi fraternity. After graduating, he worked in Washington DC and shortly after, came back home to follow in his father's footsteps to help run the family business,"Sherman's and Smithmans" for 37 years. He then retired to pursue his true passions. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Edwin "Ed" Sherman and Ann Smith Sherman, nephew Jack Sherman, and brother in law Jeff Fawcett. He is survived by his loving wife Mary of 34 years and their three children, Brooks, Allison and Katherine. He is survived by his brothers Alan (Shannon) and Michael, his in-laws, nieces, and nephews.

Randy's passions were skiing with his son and daughter in Utah, loving on his dogs, kayaking, working in his garden, rock music, old clocks, and the restoration of their 100 year old farm house. He was a man who couldn't sit still; full of ambition, dry humor, good beer, and thrilling adventure. He loved his family selflessly, he will be terribly missed. Until we meet again, Peace, Love, & Dogs
