HOWARD, RANGELEY LESTER, “Ray”age 89, of Richmond,VA passed away Tuesday, Oct. 6, 2009 in Henrico Doctor’s Hospital. Born on October 5, 1920 to the late Reuben and Estelle Howard. He was preceded in death by brothers, William “Bill” Howard and Rudolph Howard and a granddaughter, Adrianne Thornton.
He is survived by a daughter, Rickey Thornton & husband, Tim, Richmond; 2 sons, Randy Howard & wife, Judy, Staunton; Steve Howard & wife, Melissa, Raleigh, NC; 4 sisters, Wavie Lindsay, Richmond, Lily Hines, Salt Lake City, Utah, Adeline Harvey & husband, Nat, Bedford, Margie Webb & husband, Warren, Roanoke; a brother, Hiram “Jeff” Howard & wife, Kay, Fredericksburg; 8 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild.
The family will receive friends from 1 until 2 pm Sunday, Oct. 11 at the Horne Funeral Home. Funeral services will be graveside 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 11th in Sunset Cemetery conducted by Rev. Jerry Hylton.
