Raymond Douglas “Doug” Howell, 66, of Christiansburg, passed away on March 30, 2014.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Ruby Minnie Akers Howell. He is survived by his wife, Sarah Jane Howell; daughter, Maury Howell Hudson; and son, Kenneth Raymond Howell.
Doug was a devoted husband and father and loved the Lord. He will be missed by all who knew him.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 2, 2014, from 5-8 p.m. at Horne Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, April 3, 2014, at 11 a.m. at GraceLife Baptist Church, 1640 Peppers Ferry Road, Christiansburg, with Dr. A. Timothy Hight and Pastor Gary Long officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Cemetery, Christiansburg.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Doug’s memory to GraceLife Baptist Church, P O Box 701, Christiansburg, VA 24068, or to the Christiansburg Gideon Camp #U45034, P O Box 336, Christiansburg, VA 24068.
