Rebecca Gutshall

GUTSHALL, REBECCA TERRY, age 94, widow of Harper Lee Gutshall, of Christiansburg died Tuesday, August 15, 2006. She was born December 12, 1911 in Highland County, a daughter of father, Elzie Terry and mother, Lottie Terry.

Mrs. Gutshall was previously employed by Leggett Department Store. She was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church, Christiansburg.

Rebecca was preceded in death by her husband, Harper Lee Gutshall, daughter, Charlotte Ann Hughes and four sisters, Lorine Campbell, Tootie Hamilton, Ruby Crantz and Hammie Terry Newton.

She is survived by family members, son, Eddie Kyle Gutshall, daughter-in-law, Flora Gutshall of Christiansburg; son Larry Scott Gutshall, daughter-in-law, Marjorie Gutshall, both of Rocky Mount, NC; seven grandchildren, Ellen Boswell, Tim Hughes, Sally Archibald, Eric Gutshall, Justin Gutshall, Evan Gutshall, Jordon Gutshall and 12 great grandchildren; special friends, Ruth Smith, Mary Lee Bush, Betty Burgess, Eunice Dudley, Margaret Ann Payton and Margaret Woolwine.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Thursday evening at the Horne Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 18th at St. Paul United Methodist Church with Dr. David Goodpasture and Rev. Brian Siegle officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Cemetery. In lieu of flowers one can make donations to the St. Paul United Methodist Church Choir, 210 West Main Street, Christiansburg, VA 24073.
