Richard was born in Roanoke, VA to the late Harry Oliver and Barbara Howell Aldridge.
He is survived by his brother, Lloyd Aldridge, Woodbridge, VA, Sister, Deborah (Phillip) Akers, Riner, VA, brother, Doug (Candace) Aldridge, Tobaccoville, NC, brother, Scott (Tonya) Aldridge, Elliston, VA, and Sister, Jennifer Woods, Christiansburg, VA, nieces and nephews, Ashley and Bradley Akers, and Kelly Akers and fiance'Ryan Baker, Erin (Tim) Watson, Brian, and Josh Aldridge, Grace Aldridge, and Laynie Woods and many other aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
The family asks that any memorial donations be made to the American Heart Association or to an S.P.C.A. of your choosing.
A memorial service will be conducted on Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at 11:00 am at Christiansburg Church of The Brethren with Pastor Don Peters officiating.
