RAKES, RICHARD MATTHEW, “Ricky”, age 37, of Christiansburg, passed away Sunday August 10, 2008.
Preceded in death by his grandparents,Mason and Regent Rakes, Ricky is survived by his wife Joyce Wilson Rakes, parents Morris and Alice Rakes, sisters and brothers-in-law, Melissa and Paul Craighead, and Donna and Todd Akers, nephew Zack Craighead, niece Jessica Akers, sister-in-law Tina Wilson, mother-in-law and father-in-law, Peggy and Roy Mitchell, grandmother, Lucy Workman and many aunts, uncles, cousins and special friends, especially at Timber Truss Housing Systems.
Ricky was a devoted NASCAR fan who also loved hunting and fishing. He was wonderful and kind–hearted person that will be sadly missed by all that knew him.
There will be no visitation and a memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.
