Richard William Woods Sr., 77, of Roanoke, passed away on July 27, 2015.
He was preceded in death by his parents Frank and Ida Woods. Richard is survived by his children, Sandy Adams and husband J.R., Bonnie Smith and husband Joey, Bridgette Blankenship and fiance Van, and Richard Wood, Jr.; grandchildren, Scott Waterhouse, Emily Smith, Shawn Robertson, Jordan Blankenship, Kali Woods, Cameron Woods; great-grandchildren, Ethan and Mason Robertson; brothers, Henderson, Robert and Garland; sisters, Joyce and Joan; as well as many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 28, 2015, from 5-8 p.m. at Horne Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, July 29, 2015, at 11 a.m. in the Horne Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Frank Henderson Woods officiating. Interment will follow with military rites at the Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Christiansburg.
