Robert Allan Alderman

Robert Allan Alderman Sr. “Bobby”, 85, of Elliston passed away on June 9, 2023 at his home. He was a member of Auburn Baptist Church. Bobby was retired from the Lynchburg Foundry and a veteran of the U.S. Army. He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Pearl Alderman; his 1st wife, Beth Alderman; brothers, Arnold, Ersell, and Early Alderman, and a sister, Betty Hanks. Bobby is survived by his wife, Shirley Alderman; children Carrie Reed (Nick), Bonnie Booth (Scott), and Robert A. Alderman Jr. “Bobby” (Danielle); step-children, Jeri Lynn Carbonneau (Ronnie), Laurie Wood (Kenny), Timmy Leftwich (Kim), Wendy Leftwich Croy, and Darren Leftwich; grandchildren, Morgan, Mariah, Jackson, Tyler, Emelia, Laney, Clifford, Julie, Brandon, Jared, Brooks, Charly, Charlie, Camden, Caden, Carter, Cordell and Stone; great grandchildren, Chole, Colby, Jacob, Clara, Tristen, Grayton, Makenzie, Ethan, Makenzie Owen, Mason, Cayden; brothers, Ray Alderman, Henry Alderman “Tink” (Frances); sister, Patricia Buckland; and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 13 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Horne Funeral Home. Funeral services will be on Wednesday June 14 at 1 p.m. at Auburn Baptist Church with Rev.
