Robert Louis Ballou, 77, of Christiansburg, passed away on Tuesday, May 21, 2013. He was born on June 12, 1935 to the late Leonard & Sarah Adams Ballou.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia “Pat” Carolyn Ballou; daughter & son-in-law, Karen & Walter Lester; sisters & brother-in-law, Mildred Ballou Spangler and Mamie “Clyde” & Eugene Smith; brother, Charles Ballou; sister-in-law, Betty Dickerson; brother-in-law & spouse, Brownie & Sue Dickerson; 10 nieces & spouses; 8 nephews & spouses; as well as special friends, Junior & Ruby Blankenship, Clinton & Jessica Sowers, and friends from Bible Baptist Church.
The funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 23, 2013, at 1 p.m. in the Horne Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Dusty Etter and Rev. Kenneth Wells officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Christiansburg. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the funeral service.
