Robert Bland

BLAND, Robert Marshall (Bobby), 73 of Christiansburg, passed away Friday, September 9, 2005 at his home.

He was preceded in death by his mother; Hulda M Garrett, his father; Charles S. Bland, two brothers, William McGuinnis Bland and Fredrick Bland and several half-brothers and sisters.

He is survived by his three sons and a step-son; Marshall Todd Bland, William E. Bland both of Christiansburg, Ronald D. Bland and his wife Sandra of Elliston, and Ricky L Price and his wife Marie of Christiansburg. Three grandchildren Ronald D. Bland, Jr., Steven and Michael Bland, one step grandson; Lee Price, his sister; Margaret Cox of Radford, and Katherine Kelly of Eggleston, brother; Donald Bland of Salem also survive him. He is also survived by a special friend and mother of his sons; Janice Shelor of Christiansburg.

Friends may call at Horne Funeral Home Sunday, September 11, 2005 after 10 a.m. and the family will receive friends from 4 - 6 p.m. Sunday evening. The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, September 12, 2005 in The Horne Funeral Home Chapel with The Rev. Doug Price officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Cemetery. The Bland family is being served by Horne Funeral Service, Christiansburg, (382-2612).
