Robert Henry Caverly

Robert Henry Caverly, 87, of Christiansburg, passed away on Wednesday, October 14, 2015.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Walter H. and Coletta J. Kain; his beloved wife, Janet Van Lierop Caverly; and his son-in-law, Michael Brent Overstreet. Bob is survived by his son, Dr. Robert H. Caverly Jr. and wife Maggie of Downingtown, PA; daughter, Anne Caverly Overstreet of Blacksburg, VA; grandchildren, Will Caverly and wife Sarah of Elverson, PA, Jacob Overstreet of Martinsville, VA, Matthew Caverly of Downingtown, PA, Daniel Overstreet of Falls Church, VA; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family.

Bob was a graduate of Xavier University and was a retired Special Agent with the FBI.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 18, 2015, from 4-6 p.m. at Horne Funeral Home, with the Rosary Service to commence at 5:30 p.m. The Rite of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, October 19, 2015, at 11 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Blacksburg, with Father Remi Sojka officiating. Interment will follow in the Memorial Gardens of the New River Valley, Blacksburg.
