Robert Todd Moore

Robert “Todd” Moore, 78, passed away peacefully on December 20, 2024 at Friendship Manor in Roanoke, Va. He was born on December 19, 1946, in Montgomery County to John and Sallie Moore. He was a graduate of Christiansburg High School. Todd went on to Concord College in Athens, West Virginia where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in education with an emphasis in music. While at Concord he was a member of the marching band and the Commander concert band.

Todd was preceded in death by his parent, John and Sallie Moore and brother-in-law, Jeff Miller. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 51 years, Nancy Caldwell Moore, two sisters, Sandra Miller and Sharon Beyma (Rob), and one brother, Michael Moore (Vicky) and many in laws, nieces, and nephews.

Todd was an avid musician throughout his lifetime and continued to love music even as his health failed over the last few years. He taught music for Bedford County School System before going on to work and retire from the Naval Supply Center in Norfolk , Va as a computer specialist.

Family and friends are invited to Horne Funeral Home 1300 N. Franklin St. Christiansburg, Va on Monday December 30, 2024. Visitation at 12:00 pm and the service to reminisce and honor the life of Todd at 1:00 pm in the Chapel, with his final resting place at Roselawn Cemetery.
