NICHOLSON, ROBERT LESLIE, age 49, of Blacksburg, passed away Wednesday, May 17, 2006 at New River Valley Medical Center. He was a veteran having served in the U. S. Navy and a network engineer at Virginia Tech.
He is survived by his parents, Leslie and Helen Nicholson; his wife, Karen Nicholson; step son, Adam Manning; two sisters, Rebecca Brown; Elaine McBennett; two brothers, John Nicholson; James Nicholson; three nephews; two nieces and his special companions, his dogs, Shiva and Ralph.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. Thursday evening and Friday evening at the Horne Funeral Home in Christiansburg. Funeral services will be conducted 10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 20, 2006 at the Horne Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Olen Gardner officiating. Interment will follow in Restvale Cemetery, Floyd, VA. The Nicholson Family is being served by Horne Funeral Service, Christiansburg, (382-2612).
