Robert Smart

Robert Lee Smart, Jr. (Pawpaw) 62 of Check, VA went to be with his Savior on Thursday, February 28, 2008 after a short but courageous battle with cancer.
He was a veteran having served in the United States Marine Corp. He was an employee of ITT INDUSTRIES NIGHT VISION and a member of Auburn Baptist Church. Bob was the son to the late Robert Lee and Opal Pauline Smart.
He is survived by his wife; Reba Miles Smart, son and daughter-in-law; Todd and Loren Robertson and the joys of his life; his two grandchildren; Logan and Taryn Robertson. Also surviving are two brothers; Tony and Chuck Smart of Radford, two sisters and brothers-in-law; Judy and Charlie Hill of Fairlawn, Brenda and Bill Roope of Belspring, and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Saturday, March 1, 2008 at Horne Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, March 2, 2008 at the Auburn Baptist with Pastor Shake Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Sunrise Burial Park, Fairlawn.
