Roberta Argabright Hurst

Roberta Argabright Hurst, 86, passed away peacefully at her home in Shawsville, VA on Wednesday, January 4, 2023. She was born in Christiansburg, VA to the late Ira Lemuel and Edith Beulah McNeil Argabright. She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years Dennit “Sam” Hurst, two grandchildren, 3 brothers, and 4 sisters.

Roberta is survived by her daughters, Donna Sue Hurst and Patricia Hurst Forren (Glen); son, Dennie Rae Hurst (Khristi); brother, Wilton Argabright; as well as six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.

Roberta loved the Lord and served her church for many years as secretary/treasurer. She was loved dearly and will be sadly missed by all of her family and friends.

Family and friends will be invited to view Roberta Hurst and visit at Horne Funeral Home on Saturday, January 7, 2023 from 6-8 p.m. Funeral Services will be held in the Horne Funeral Home Chapel on Sunday, January 8, 2023 at 1:00 pm, with Rev. Eddie Gallimore officiating. Followed by interment at Shawsville Cemetery on Alleghany Spring Road.
