Roberta Lynn Smith

Roberta Lynn Smith, 65, of Christiansburg, Virginia, passed away on May 6, 2023. She was born on May 19, 1957, and was preceded in death by her father, David Richard Smith, and her mother, Bobbie Lee Anderson.

Roberta, or Lynn as she preferred to be called, devoted her life to her family. A cherished mother, grandmother, and dear friend, Lynn’s kindness, beauty, strength, and unwavering faith touched all who knew her. She loved reading, singing, crocheting, cooking, gardening, and playing cards, but above all else, she found joy in the company of her children and grandchildren.

Lynn is survived by her son Danny Linkous Jr., daughter-in-law Gina Linkous, daughter Jessica Smith, son-in-law Sheffield Smith, son Ben Linkous, and son Jake Linkous as well as 10 grandchildren and one on the way. She also leaves behind special friends Danny Linkous Sr., Pam Linkous, Teresa Sheppard, Dawn Whitescarver, Nikki Whitlock, Heather Hussein, and Jackie Orito.

A funeral service will be held in Lynn's honor at Merrimac Pentecostal Church on Thursday May 18, 2023 at 4:00 pm.
