Robie Phillips

Robie Lee Phillips, 87, of Christiansburg, formerly of Indian Valley, went peacefully home to be with the Lord on April 10, 2013. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 ½ years, Hazel S. Phillips; son, Ricky L. Phillips & daughter-in-law, Bridgett M. Phillips; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Robie was a decorated veteran of WWII, serving his country in the Army for Company I, 22nd Infantry, receiving decorations for Good Conduct Medal, Purple Heart Medal, American Theater Ribbon, European African Middle Eastern Ribbon, and World War II Victory Ribbon. He was a devout Christian, attending Harbor of Hope Pentecostal Holiness Church and serving the Lord for over 50 years.

Visitation will be on Friday, April 12, 2013, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. with the funeral service to commence at 11:00 a.m. in the Horne Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Richard Kingrea and Rev. Leon Alley officiating. Interment will follow in Highland Memory Gardens, Dublin, with full military rights ceremony conducted by the Pulaski VFW Post 1184.
