Robin Bowers

Robin Bowers, 61, of Christiansburg, passed away on Sunday, October 22, 2017. He was preceded in death by his mother, Frances Bowers Long; and step-father, Owen Patrick Long.

Robin is survived by his brother, Carlyle Insley Bowers, Jr. of Texas; sisters, Deborah Bowers Atkins and husband Allen of South Carolina, Roslyn Bowers Sayers and husband Cecil of Pulaski, Donna Bowers Newbury of Christiansburg, and Jo Bowers Woolwine and husband Randolph of Christiansburg; special nephew, Cody Bowers, whom Robin loved as a son; as well as five nephews and two nieces.

Robin retired after 32 years from Wolverine. He served in the Marine Corp., loved hunting and fishing, and was a BIG sports fan – go Cowboys! He leaves behind many friends and loved ones.

The family with receive friends on Thursday, October 26, 2017, from 1-2 p.m. at Horne Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will begin at 2 p.m. in the Chapel, with Pastor T. Michael Bond officiating. Interment will be at a later date in the Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery, Dublin.
