During the late evening hours of January 9, 2022 Rod Cupp took the checkered flag, finished his race here on earth and made his way peacefully to join his mom and dad, Alfred and Ruby Cupp in heaven.
His children and one grandson, will forever cherish his memory and always strive to make him proud. Kevin and Taylor Cupp and son James. Megan and Caleb Bryant and Casey and Sylvia Cupp.
Also left to recall a life time of special memories is his niece and confidant, Kim and Matt Dix and their children and grandchildren.
Born on May 13,1963, Rod was 58 years young, he loved people and had the best and biggest heart. He was a man of few words, non confrontational and a slow and steady kind of guy. He is loved by many many friends, racing buddies and his work families at General Electric and VPT, Inc.
The family is being served by Horne Funeral Home and will receive friends on Thursday, January 13 from 5-7pm. A celebration of life will be held on Friday, January 14 at 2pm at the funeral home chapel, where friends are invited to share special stories about this awesome man. Graveside services will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
We are forever indebted to the staff at NRVMC CCU who tirelessly cared for him over the past 44 days.
