Roger C. Morris

Roger C. Morris, 74, of Montgomery County VA, got called home on Sunday, February 2, 2025. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bascom and Catherine Sutphin Morris; a daughter, Karen Davis; and siblings, J.R., Howard, Paul, Ann, and Barbara.

Roger is survived by his wife of 55 years, Margaret Ann Morris; daughter, Tanya (Kirk) Sutton; grandchildren, Megan (Aaron) Leonard, Madison Bland, Haley Sutton and fiancé Zach, Brittany (Cody) Slaughter, and Billy Davis III; great grandchildren, Jacob, Jackson, Karleigh Grace, and Billy Eugene Davis, IV; siblings, Robert Morris and Gay Cheatham; sister-in-law, Alice Morris, and numerous loved nieces and nephews. 

Roger attended Snowville Baptist Church growing up and later attended Church of God. He was a man who loved the farm life and gardening. He was a grill master and enjoyed family ancestry. He retired from the Lynchburg Foundry and C&S Doors.

A funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, February 8, 2025 at 3:00 pm from the chapel of Horne Funeral Home with Brother Aaron Leonard officiating. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service and the burial will be private at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.

The family would like to request that memorial contributions be made to the Salvation Army or the Riner Rescue Squad.
