STANLEY, Roger Dale, 66 of Riner passed away Saturday, December 4, 2010. He was preceded in death by his father; Benton Stanley.
He is survived by his mother and step-father; Elsie and Elmer Griffin, sons and daughters-in-law; Mark D. and Tina Stanley, Scott Stanley and Trish Yount, granddaughters; Bailee Stanley Kennedy, Patrick Kennedy and Lauren Stanley, grandson; Brandon Scott Stanley, special friend; Jean Thompson, and one step brother and sister-in-law; Kenneth and Mary Jane Griffin.
The family will receive friends from 5 – 8 p.m. Monday, December 6, 2010 at The Horne Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, December 7, 2010 at Reed Island Springs Church Cemetery, Meadows of Dan Virginia with Rev. Carl Seek officiating. In lieu of flowers the family request that memorial contributions be made to The American Cancer Society, 2840 Electric Road Suite 106, Roanoke, VA 24018.
