Ruby Roop Morris

Ruby Roop Morris, 89, of Christiansburg, went to be with the Lord on April 28, 2024.  She was born to the late Emmett and Mary Thompson Roop.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Swanson Morris, son-in-law Fred Fain, granddaughter Mary Grace Morris and grandson Lee Neal (Bubba) Fain. Also preceding her in death were all of her brothers Marvin Ray, Claude (Bud), Raymond, Curtis and Tom Roop; and sisters, Nelly Keen and Molly Walters.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Charles R and Rebecca Morris of Radford and daughter Brenda Fain of Blacksburg.   She has 5 grandsons and spouses / partners Michael (Buzz) and Kelli Morris of Kingsport, TN; Charles (Charlie) Morris and Alanah Flad of Fairlawn; William (Chance) Morris of Radford; Lee Fain of Kentucky; and Luke Fain of Blacksburg.  Also 9 great grandchildren Makenna Elyse, Xander Duke and Maverick Dutton Morris of Kingsport; Antonie Ridge Morris of Fairlawn; Logan Francisco of Blacksburg; and Christopher, Lilly, Addison and Mckinleigh Fain of Blacksburg.

Ruby had many family members and friends who loved her dearly.  In her earlier years she played second mother to lots of children as their parents worked.   She will be missed tremendously. A special thank you to Tori Gallimore for helping take care of Ruby this past year.   Thank you to all of her caregivers, nurses and doctors for everything you did.

Ruby is in the care of Horne Funeral Home in Christiansburg.  A celebration of life will be held at a later date and time.
