Ruth Quesenberry

Quesenberry, Ruth Thomas, age 88 of Shawsville went to be with the Lord Monday, October 25, 2004.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Fulton Quesenberry whom she married October 26, 1935. Also preceding her in death were three sisters and 5 brothers. She attended the First Church of God in Christiansburg. She loved to sew, embroidery, loved doting on her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Frances & Paul Gardner of Christiansburg; Janet & Frank Quesenberry of Dublin; sons and daughters-in-law, Woody & Karen Quesenberry of Ravenna, OH, Wayne & Reda Quesenberry of Shawsville; sisters and brother-in-law, Roxie & Albert Williams of Shawsville; Nellie Tabroski of Rochester, MI; brother, Monte Thomas of Shawsville; 11 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at the Horne Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 27 at the Horne Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Max Nichols and Rev. Ben Whitaker officiating. Interment will follow in Den Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests that contributions be made to Gentle Shepherd, 4040 Franklin Road, SW; Roanoke, VA 24014. The Quesenberry Family is being served by Horne Funeral Service. (382-2612)
