Ruth Geraldine Rose, 86, of Shawsville, went home to her Lord on Monday, June 19, 2017. She was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel J. Rose Sr.; son, Daniel J. Rose Jr.; and grandson, James Maxfield Jr.
Ruth is survived by her daughters, Katie and Glenn Maxfield, Debbie Warrenfeltz and fiancé Kenneth Church, Tammy and Marvin Chappell; 16 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchildren; and brother, Bobby and Robatine Gravley.
She was a gentle, loving Christian mother, grandmother, sister and friend. A faithful Christian woman who attended Shawsville Congregational Holiness Church for 30 years. She will be missed dearly but knowing she is with Jesus makes our hearts full of love and peace.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 21, 2017, from 5-8 p.m. at Horne Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, June 22, 2017, at 1 p.m. at the Shawsville Congregational Holiness Church with Johnny Smith, Ed Gallimore, and Brother Wes Connor officiating. Interment will follow in Shawsville Congregational Cemetery.
