Samuel Ray Hinkley

Samuel Ray Hinkley, 68 of Montgomery County, passed away February 4, 2024.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Jonah Lee Hinkley and Frances Sue Hinkley; as well as by Roger Lee Hinkley, Thomas Bentley Hinkley, Frank Jackson Hinkley, Vernus Allen Hinkley, Barbara Fay Jennings, Betty Lou Harris, Judy Lynn Bond, and Katie Laura Musselman.

Sam is survived by his siblings, Nancy Sue Custer, Rebecca Ann Lovern, Richard Wayne Hinkley, Gary Daniel Hinkley; daughters, Sandra Hinkley (Amy Meade), April Lovern (Joe Kincaid); step-son, Josh Kast; grandchildren, Teresa Bryant, Gavin DeJesus-Hinkley, Tara Dawn Hinkley; and great-grandchildren, Blaine Keaton Price, Daniel Kolson Price, and Maelyn Brooke Davis.

Sam was a dedicated farm hand for many years.  He loved being outside and fishing.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 8, 2024, from 1-2 p.m. at the New Hope Church of God.  Funeral Services will begin at 2 p.m. with Pastor T. Michael Bond officiating.   Interment will follow in Sunset Cemetery.
