Blankenship, Sandra Jane Jessie, 62 of Christiansburg, died Monday, October 5, 2009. The daughter to the late; William Jessie and Jeanette Lane. She was also preceded in death by her son; Terry Lee Elswick.
She is survived by her son; Jimmy Blankenship, Jr. of Christiansburg, VA, daughters; Sherry Horn and Tammy Blankenship of Richlands, VA, step-mother; Pearl Jessie of Pulaski, VA,, brothers; Roger Jessie of and his wife Janice of Christiansburg, VA, Don Jessie and wife Peggy of Pulaski, VA, Michael Jessie and his wife Suzette of Wytheville, VA, sisters; Theresa Ososki and her husband; John of Livonia, MI, Linda and her husband Michael Coleman of Richlands, Connie Stilwell, Genny Rose, Gearldine Hampton also of Richlands, three aunts; Lula, Ruby and Millie all of Mt. Clemens, MI. Also surviving are nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
The family will receive friends at The Horne Funeral Home Wednesday, October 7, 2009 from 5 – 7 p.m. A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday in The Horne Funeral Home Chapel. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Christiansburg Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 176, Christiansburg, VA 24073.
