Sandra Faye Cox Gravley

Sandra Faye Cox Grevley, 68, of Max Meadows, VA, passed away at her childhood home in Christiansburg, VA on Tuesday, November 19, 2024. She was born February 19, 1956 to the late Donald Wesley Cox and Irene Matherley Cox.

Sandra is survived by her husband of 42 years, Rodger Gail Gravley of Max Meadows; her son, Christopher Lee Gravley of SC; her mother, Irene M. Cox of Dublin, VA; sister, Donna Barker and husband Bob of Dublin, VA; her aunt, Jeannet Akers; her sisters-in-law, Matilda Quesenberry and husband Mike, Patty Davis and husband Benny, and Donna Vamover and husband Kenny; plenty of nieces and nephews; two special friends, Ruth Swicegood of Rocky Mount, VA and Fran Phillips of Richmond, VA, as well as many other friends all over the state of Virginia. 

Sandra was a Lifetime member of the former Wythe County Rescue Squad Auxiliary and a Lifetime member of the Virginia Association of Volunteer Rescue Squad Auxiliary where she held offices as Chaplain, Vice President and President. 

Although Sandra is gone, she will live in our hearts forever.

The family will receive friends on Monday, November 25, 2024 from 5:00 until 7:00 pm at Horne Funeral Home. A funeral service will be conducted on Tuesday, November 26, 2024 at 2:00 pm from the Chapel of Horne Funeral Home with Pastor Neal Turner officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
