Sarah Carmen Shealor, 81 of Christiansburg, went home to her Heavenly Father on Friday, July 14, 2023. She was born on March 2, 1942, in West Virginia. Preceding her in death are her mother, Katheryn White; father, Frank Broomfield; sister, Libby Wilson; and husband of 40+ years, Bill Price.
Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband of 15 years, Elmer Shealor; two sons and their spouses, Mike and Stephanie Price, Bill and Gina Price; as well as two step-daughters, Peggy Bart (Ray) and Connie Johnson (David) She was blessed with three granddaughters, Jessica Martin, Stacie Price, and Kelly Price; nine great-grandchildren, Chelsey Gravely, Mason Martin, Hali Price, Kaelyn Price, Makenzie Price, Devin Price, Mallory Ruple, Nathan Ruple, and Alanna Price. Also surviving are three great-great-grandchildren, Renesmae Andrews, Willow Andrews, and Leo Price; sister, Peggy Burlingame; step-grandchildren, Michaela Bartimoccia, Noah Bart, Nathan Bart, Jonathan Bart, and Ryan Johnson.
Sarah was deeply loved by everyone that met her, and never missed an opportunity to share her love for the Lord with anyone she came across. She was a bright light in this world. Sarah retired from Montgomery County Schools where she worked many years as a custodian and then worked as a cafeteria aide after retirement. She was devoted to God, as well as her son Mike Price’s T.R.A.S.H. Ministries in Collinsville, the Elliston Church of God, and her current church home Good Shepherd Baptist Church in Christiansburg.
The Celebration of Life Service will be held at Good Shepherd Baptist Church, 155 Dunlap Drive, Christiansburg, on Saturday, July 29th, 2023. Visitation will be at 11 a.m. with Services to follow at noon with Pastor Michael Bartlett and Pastor Mike Price officiating.
