Sebert H. Keiffer, 91, passed away on July 3, 2018 surrounded by loving family at LewisGale Hospital Montgomery in Blacksburg, VA.
He was born in Akron, Ohio on October 30, 1926 to Sebert Earl Keiffer and Virginia Jeffreys Keiffer. Sebert was predeceased by his brother, Jack Keiffer of Tucson, AZ, as well as his first wife Darlene Lawson Keiffer and son, Wayne Keiffer, of Prince Georges County Maryland.
Sebert is survived by his wife of forty-seven years, Judith Keiffer, daughters, Sandra Evans (David), Cynthia Davis (Donald), Januari Rhodes (Edeline) and sons, Keith and Alan (Kelly). He was also blessed with twelve grandchildren, Gillian, Adrianne, Donald (deceased), Brittany, Stephanie, Brian, Nicholaus, Robin, Austin, Rebecca, Savannah, Caleb, as well as three great grandchildren, Ava, Collin, and Preston.
Upon his return from military service in the Asiatic-Pacific area during World War II, Sebert became a member of the VFW as well as the American Legion. He was also a member of several service organizations including the Moose Lodge and the Lions Club of which he was a life-long member.
Sebert earned his Law Degree from American University in Washington, DC. He practiced law in Prince Georges County, MD for forty years before retiring in 1999 and relocating to Christiansburg, VA with his wife Judith.
Private services will be held in Christiansburg. He will be interred at Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery.
