Shelby Earles Altizer

Shelby E. Altizer, 83, of Christiansburg, VA passed away suddenly on Saturday, February 18, 2023. She was preceded in death by her parents, Elvin C. and Juanita “June” Spangler Earles.
She is survived by her daughter, Sherrie Altizer; a son, Denny (Renee) Altizer; grandchildren, McKenzie (Everett) Locker and Katelyn Altizer; and her significant other, Tom Slusher.
Shelby retired from C&P Telephone Company, was a board member of White Oak Primitive Baptist church and was a volunteer at the Daily Bread food pantry in Radford. She loved her grandchildren and “boogying” at the Floyd Country Store on Friday nights.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 22, 2023 from 12:00 until 2:00 pm at Horne Funeral Home. A graveside service will be conducted immediately following the service at St. Matthews Cemetery in Riner.
