Shirley Ann Walters Baker Bartlett

Born Shirley Ann Walters Baker Bartlett at New Altamons Hospital to George M. Walters Jr. and Verbena Dickerson Walters on August 25, 1945.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Clayton L. Bartlett, brother Kelly B. Walters and sister-in-law Virginia Gerald Walters.  Shirley is survived by her ex-husband Billy S. Baker; son William (Willie) Baker; special sister Norma Jean Walters; step-son Todd Allen Bartlett; step-daughters Sharon Baker (John); Sheila Coffield (Matt) and nieces Nancy Jo Walters and Melissa Poff Shonkwiler.

Shirley graduated from Christiansburg High School class of 1963. She worked four months at Blue Ridge Overall Co. Graduated from Hollywood School of Beauty Culture in Roanoke in 1964. She worked at Corner Beauty Shop and then Diane’s-Merle Norman until 1980. She then worked at Poly Scientific (Moog) until 2008. During retirement she finished her working careers with Montgomery County school system in 2014.
