Shirley Edna McCoy Hudnall

Shirley Hudnall of Riner, VA went home to meet her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ on January 2nd, 2023. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Shirley E. McCoy and Callie Rebecca Phillips, both formerly of Floyd; foster parents, Lawrence and Louise Bryant of Cheylen, WV; brother, Eddie McCoy; husband, Billy Ray Hudnall; and daughter-in-law, Christie Hudnall.

Survivors include her son, Rusty and Brenda Hudnall; daughter, Belinda and Kevin Keller; five grandsons, Brandon and Rebecca Hudnall, Zachary Hudnall, Michael and Stephanie Hudnall, Jesse Hudnall and Christopher Keller; and great-granddaughter, Rosemary Hudnall. She is also survived by one niece, Carolyn Plumley Cory; and a special friend, Amy Palmer.

Shirley was a graduate of Marshall University where she received the degree of Bachelor of Arts. She was an English Teacher in Kanawha County Schools in WV for many years. She served as pianist and organist at Old Kanawha Baptist Church in Pratt, WV for over 40 years. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, cross stitching, reading, family genealogy and playing the piano.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 7th at Horne Funeral Home from 12:00 until 1:00 pm. The funeral will immediately follow.
