Stella Light

LIGHT, STELLA BLACKWELL, of Christiansburg, left to be with the Lord and her family who she dearly loved on Monday, March 26, 2007. She was a member of Belview United Methodist Church and enjoyed singing in the church choir. She worked at the Radford Arsenal, Country Cookin and as a seamstress. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ida Martin Blackwell and Brown Blackwell and her brother, William Clayton Blackwell; sisters, Anna Blackwell Creasy and Essie Blackwell Fagan and Linda Creasy Graves, a very special niece who Stella loved. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Landon Leon Light. She leaves to cherish her memory her brother and sister-in-law, Daniel B. & Ruth Blackwell of Christiansburg; a very special niece, Carolyn Creasy Sheppard and nephew, Bobby L. Sheppard of Christiansburg; great nieces and nephews; great great nieces and nephews that she loved very much and they also loved her. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 28 at the Horne Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, March 29 at the Belview United Methodist Church with Rev. Everette Sheppard and Rev. Sebert Rorrer officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Christiansburg.
