Steven R. Brown, 54, of Shawsville passed away on July 5, 2013. A proud veteran, he served his country in the Army from 1980-1983. He was preceded in death by his father, Garld L. Brown.
Steve is remembered by sons, Garrett and wife, Stacie, Robert, and Zachary; along with grandchildren, Cory, Hunter, and Eden Brown. He is also survived by his mother, Helen P. Brown; and siblings, Barbara Foster, Paul Brown, Margie Murray, and Sybil Denney.
The family will receive friends on Monday, July 8, 2013, from 5-7 p.m. at Horne Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 9th at 11 a.m. in the Horne Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Kenneth Wells officiating. Interment will follow at Piedmont Cemetery, Shawsville.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Horne Funeral Home, 1300 N. Franklin St., Christiansburg, VA 24073, to help offset funeral expenses.
