Steven Daryl Holmes

Steven Daryl Holmes, 64, of Christiansburg passed away on June 25, 2024. He is proceeded in death by his wife, Sandra Holmes; mother and father-in-law Frank and Eileen Underwood; parents Richard Taylor and Jenny Lee Brown; and son Alex Holmes.

Steve is survived by his son, Eric Holmes and fiancee Crystal Brunner; grandchildren Jerimiah Holmes and Madison Holmes; siblings Charles Holmes (Missy), Nelson Taylor, Brenda Hall (Ronald), Deborah Starkey (Terry Thomas); brother-in-law Randy Underwood (Sandra); his dog CoCo; special friend Walter Hall; as well as many loving nieces and nephews.

 Steve was a loving father and grandfather. His grandchildren were his world. He loved watching them in sports and attended every game and tournament he could. He was a permanent fixture at Franklin County and Motor Mile Speedways. His weekends were devoted to racing. Family meant everything to Steve and he will be greatly missed by everyone. 

Visitation will be Monday July 1, 2024 from 1:00-2:00 pm at Horne Funeral Home. Funeral services will start at 2:00 in the Horne Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Marlin Reeves officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
