He was preceded in death by his parents, Ethan Dale Deeds (E.D.) and Ella Wood Deeds. He is survived by his wife, Ruth Marshall Deeds, and many friends.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 7, 2009 at 11 a.m. with a visitation 1 hour prior to service at Horne Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Olen Gardner officiating.
