Sudie Epperly

EPPERLY, SUDIE CARDEN, age 101, of Christiansburg, went home to be with the Lord Thursday, October 14th, 2004.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Amanda Chrisman Carden; her husband, Carlyle C. Epperly; son, Donald M. Epperly; grandson, Michael G. Epperly; nine sisters and four brothers. She was a member of the Mt. Tabor Methodist Church since 1923.

Survivors include her daughters and son-in-law, Bettye E. Hines of Snowville; Peggy & Elzie Smart of Spencer; seven grandchildren and their spouses, Matt Epperly "Special Caretaker", of Christiansburg, Donald and Carolyn Hines, Sheryl & Harold Duncan, Jay and Gail Hines, Kent Hines all of the Snowville; Mark & Cathy Hines of Radford, Dirk M. Smart of Spencer; nine great grandchildren, Brad, Will, Amanda, Tony, Eric Hines; Terri H. Pineda, Trisha H. Massie, Amber Duncan, D. J. Smart; four great great grandchildren, Brody Duncan, Melanie & Jesse Massie, and (Soon to be born) Baby Gracie Hines; three step grandchildren, Charlie & Steven Newman, Matthew Eller; six step great great grandchildren, Rachel Newman, Jesse Eller, Kristal, Jeremy, Katelyn, Anthony.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Friday evening at Horne Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 16 at the Horne Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Donna Sharp and Rev. Sebert Rorrer officiating.
