Broman, Susan Kay, passed away December 16, 2010 after a brief illness.
She was born in Detroit, Michigan to Kenneth Broman and Nelle Miller Broman on November 25, 1937. She graduated from Brewster Academy in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire and attended Middlebury College.
She had a successful career in the automotive industry including Chief Financial Officer for multi-dealership corporation in Texas. She also possessed a commercial driver’s license and drove commercial tractor trailers for several years as an owner-operator, getting to every state in the Continental United States.
She was an avid gardener and had beautiful gardens everywhere she lived. She was an animal lover and enjoyed the companionship of her dog and cat.
She is survived by her sons, Robert Harrington, of Bow, New Hampshire and Kenneth Broman, of Christiansburg, VA; a sister, Sally Curran, of Lyndleborough, New Hampshire; 2 nephews; 2 grand-nieces and 2 grand-nephews.
There will be no calling hours and a family service will be held in New Hampshire. Memorial donations may be made to the Montgomery County Humane Society Shelter, P.O. Box 287, Blacksburg, VA 24063.
