Terry Lee Nix, 81 of Christiansburg, passed away December 12, 2024.
Terry was a U.S. Army veteran and was a member of Community Christian Church in Dublin. He worked at Harrison Radiator, GM, Pullman, Unit Rig, Hubbell Lighting, and as a Management Consultant for several Big 8 accounting firms and Ross Perot’s Company, Electronic Data Systems. As a Management Consultant he travelled extensively in the US, Europe, Asia, and Saudi Arabia.
Terry was preceded in death by his parents, George and Edith Nix; uncles, Lawrence Nix, Rink Nix; aunts, Marg Nix, Mary Buckner; nephew, Aaron Nix; niece, Vicky Nix; mother-in-law, Viola Akers; special young friend, AJ Bryson; and beloved dogs, Winnie, Wally, Cody, and Maggie. He is survived by his devoted wife, Wanda Nix; son, Terry L. Nix II; daughter, Lauri Ann Thomas (Brett); brothers, Dennis Nix and Dan Nix (Cindy); cousin, Debbie Nix; grandsons, Caleb and Joshua Thomas; uncle, Cliff Nix; and beloved dog and buddy, Winston Churchill.
Terry also had many special Senneca Springs friends and neighbors, and many special friends/Brothers and Sisters at Community Christian Church, friends at Professional Rehab, college and high school friends, and Merry Point neighborhood friends.
Terry was always eager to help people and was comfortable talking to anyone. He loved serving his church, teaching Adult Sunday School and Thursday Bible Study.
Visitation will be Tuesday, December 17, 2024, from 12-1 p.m. at Community Christian Church. Funeral Services will begin at 1 p.m. with Minister William L. ‘Bill’ Neeley officiating. Interment will follow in the Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery, Dublin.
