Thelma Louise Jones Roudabush

Thelma Louise Jones Roudabush was born to J. Clifford and Minnie Jones on January 22, 1919, in Montgomery County Virginia. She was the middle child in the family of five, including Loreta (Caldwell), John, Mary Eva (White) and Peck.
After graduation from Blacksburg High School, Thelma worked as a bookkeeper for the Town. Thelma married Sherwood Roudabush in 1946. In 1947, she became mother to her only child, Ann, and devoted the rest of her life to making a comfortable home for her family in the communities of Raphine, Willis and Riner. After the death of her husband in 2014, she moved from Wheatland Hills to English Meadows Blacksburg Assisted Living, where she died peacefully on July 19 at the age of 104 years.
Thelma is survived by her daughter, Ann Roudabush Keys (Robert), and numerous nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews. Special thanks go to niece, Brenda Caldwell of Blacksburg, and friend, Kathy Smith of Riner.
She was attentively cared for by the staff of English Meadows Blacksburg. assisted in her final days by hospice carers from Medi Home Health and Hospice. Arrangements are provided by Horne Funeral Services and Crematory in Christiansburg, Virginia. No services are planned at this time.
