Thomas Burton

BURTON, THOMAS WAYNE, age 52, of Christiansburg and formerly of Salem, passed away Sunday, April 3, 2005 surrounded by love.

He was preceded in death by his father, Clayton Andrew Burton and his grandson, Hunter Scott Dempsey. Survivors include his wife, Paula J. Burton of Christiansburg; mother, Lois Q. McRoberts; son and daughter-in-law, Clayton Thomas Burton & Becca Wood; daughter and son-in-law, Jennie B. & Stan Lane; stepchildren, Casey Virgin & Phillip, Carson Virgin; grandchildren, Cayden Burton, Alyssa Lane; sisters and brothers-in-law, Barbara Ann & Bob Mead, Cindy & Davey Ball; many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews, whom he loved dearly; aunts, Oneta Farmer and Thelma Lee; uncles, Walter Quesenberry, Tommy Quesenberry; and his faithful cat, ?Jake?.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 5, 2005 at The Seneca Baptist Church. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 6 at the Seneca Baptist Church with Pastor Virgil McHone officiating. Interment will follow in Bland County. The family wishes to express their thanks to the Carilion New River Valley Hospice and the members of the Seneca Baptist Church for all their love, care and support.
