Thomas Alfred Taylor

Thomas “Tommy” Alfred Taylor, 58, of Christiansburg, Virginia, passed away on Tuesday, May 2, 2017.

Thomas was born on July 22, 1958 in Christiansburg, Virginia. He graduated from Christiansburg High School in 1976 and obtained his Certificate of Ordination through the New Life Worship Center Church on May 21, 2000. On June 17, 1977 he married the love of his life Penny Taylor in Radford, Virginia. Thomas was known as the “Bible Man” as he routinely handed out Holy Bibles to those that would accept Christ in their life.

Thomas is survived by his wife, Penny Taylor; two children, Dallas Taylor and his wife Karen Taylor of Christiansburg, VA, and Virginia Lilly and her husband Robert Lilly of Mims, FL; four grandchildren, Peyton and Isaac Taylor, and Aaron and Paige Lilly; parents, Charlie and Margaret Taylor of Radford, VA; three brothers, David Taylor, Larry Taylor, both of Radford, VA, and Roy Taylor of Dublin, VA, and their spouses; sister, Danah Howell and her spouse of Floyd, VA; spouse of his late brother; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, Dwain Taylor, who passed away on May 5, 2013.

A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, May 5, 2017, at 10 a.m. at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Christiansburg.
