Tony L. Huddleston, of Riner, VA, formerly of Bedford County, passed through this life on July 24th, 2016 doing what he loved with who he loved.
Tony was an esteemed father, brother, coach, umpire, friend, and to all that knew him an intense WAHOO fan! Tony’s passion for his family, the love of the game, and all the “kids that were his kids” was evident. Tony “won” every day of his life because of the relationships he developed, nurtured and cherished with his family, friends, players and coaches. He could light up a room with his contagious smile, joking personality and always made you feel like a friend or part of his family. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and restoring antique vehicles and spending time with his family, friends and four dogs. Tony’s mere presence gave you a sense of security and left us all with a feeling of pride in knowing him. He never met a stranger and always welcomed the opportunity to help others. Tony, you brought out the best in all of us. Lastly and most importantly, he knew his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Tony was preceded in death by his parents Jerry and Patsy Huddleston. He is survived by his fiancée, Jennifer C. Schutte; son, Brodyn P. Huddleston, and a son he considered his own, Jarrett K. Schutte; Brothers and wives, Chad and Cole Huddleston, Todd Huddleston, Ryan Huddleston, Kevin and Shelia Crowe, Russell Crowe and Amanda Smith; nieces and nephews, Shian, Hunter, Patelin, and Callen Huddleston, Brystol, Loudyn, and Hunter Crowe; as well as special in-laws, Fred and Carolyn Walters.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday July 29th, 2016 at Auburn Baptist Church at 3840 Riner Road, Riner VA, with visitation from 12-3 p.m. and a Memorial Service at 3 p.m. We encourage you to wear your favorite WAHOO attire in memory of Tony.

'Life is good today….enjoy the ride! We don’t meet people by accident, they are meant to cross our path for a reason. They say that it’s not the years in your life, but the life in your years that matter! EVERYDAY COUNTS! “It is what it is!” WAHOOWA!!!'
