AGAN, TRAVIS LEE, age 51, of Riner, Jesus called on Sunday, January 2, 2005 at Montgomery Regional Hospital, Blacksburg, and Travis answered the call to go home.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, an employee of Hall's Construction Company in Elliston, and attended the Merrimac Pentecostal Holiness Church.
He is survived by his parents, Jerome and Era Lee Agan, Cave Spring, GA, his wife, Linda Huff Agan, a daughter and son-in-law, Chanda and Matt Thomas, Atlanta, GA; a son, Jeff Lee Agan, Riner; grandson, Tyler Lee Agan; brothers and sisters-in-law, Larry and Linda Agan, Randy and Sharon Agan, all of Cave Spring, GA, Kenneth and Shirley Agan, Atlanta, GA; his sister and brother-in-law, Joyce and David Royal, Rome, GA; step sons and wives, Paul and Kathy White, Roanoke, Leonard and Brenda White, Elliston; step-grandchildren, Nathan, Seanna, Coty and Tequila; a great granddaughter, Emily; brother-in-law & sister-in-law, Robbie & Diane Simpson of Christiansburg; special friends, Barry, Gary & Les Hall.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Monday, January 3 at the Horne Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 8:00 p.m. Monday in the Horne Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jerry Sloss and Mr. Donnie Linkous officiating. Per his request, he will be laid to rest in the Old Prospect Cemetery in Cherokee County, Alabama. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to the American Cancer Society or to the family to help offset expenses.
