March 9, 1959 — December 17, 2006

HALL, VALERIE MYERS ?SISSY?, age 47, of Christiansburg, passed away Sunday, December 17, 2006. She was a graduate of Auburn High School and Hiwassee College in Tennessee. An active member of the Calvary United Methodist Church in Christiansburg, she enjoyed participating in the choir, was recently voted to be the president of the United Methodist Women?s Association and was active in numerous activities and functions within the church. She loved her Lord and strived to do all that she could to glorify Him in all aspects of her life. She was the owner and operator of Ta-Dah Studios for many years and was a beloved teacher for many young dancers. She was very active in the community as she volunteered with the 4-H, the Auburn Swing Choir as a Choreographer; she provided entertainment for area nursing homes and retirement centers by taking children to perform; she was the recipient of many awards for her excellence in various jobs and received the WDBJ Channel 7 ?Hometown Hero Award?. She leaves to cherish her memory her loving husband, Perry H. Hall of Christiansburg; her mother, Betty Young Greene and step-father, William J. of Christiansburg; her father, David C. Myers and step-mother, Mariel of Blacksburg; sisters and brothers-in-law, Lesley & Jeff Mitchell of Christiansburg; Abi & Darrell Lester of Christiansburg; maternal grandmother, Ernestine Weeks of Christiansburg; step children, Lydia Brook Hall and Ashley Danielle Hall; special nephew and ?Godson?, Clayton Lester; special mother-in-law, Blanche Combs; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Marilyn (Sis) & Bob Schidle; George C. & Sharon Hall; Gary C. & Mary Jane Hall; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, dear friends and former dance students. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 19 at the Horne Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 20, 2006 at the Horne Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Sebert Rorrer officiating. Entombment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Calvary United Methodist Church, 1600 South Franklin Street, Christiansburg, VA 24073.
